About Bloomsdale, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Bloomsdale is a small city in Missouri with less than 1,000 citizens. In the 18th century, French settlers first made this land their home.  Since then, it has grown and “bloomed,” if you will.  However, the residents have held on to their deep ties to the French Colonials and their lifestyle.  Seasonal weather in the area means that the weather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter.  However, the climate is generally moderate, so every season is enjoyable for residents and visitors.  Watch the children ride bikes down the road in June, and then sled down those same streets in the winter. This type of living is so desirable to many people because it brings back memories of a modest and simpler time.

Bloomsdale was originally called "La Fourche à Duclos,” or "The fork of Duclos." The parish priest, Father Blume, bought land adjacent to the original town and built a settlement on what is now Bloomsdale. It was called “Blumesdale” and then Americanized later to “Bloomsdale.”  The nearby town of Ste. Genevieve has managed to encapsulate much of the history of this area and holds a wide assortment of delightful events and activities which celebrate the history and culture of this special part of Missouri.  Year-round, and in any weather, there is something to do in the area, and the history of the land and the people is explored and celebrated with great fervor.

This part of the world is highly religious.  Many locals are still Catholic and there are many beautiful and historic parishes in the area.  For example, St. Agnes and St. Lawrence Churches both hold worship in town.  St. Agnes Elementary is a private Catholic school affiliated with St. Agnes Church serving local children.  New members are always greeted with happy smiles and handshakes at these churches.  At Christmas, as the weather gets cold, members of the church huddle in the humble church to celebrate and spend time in communion with other Christians.  Then, in spring, they celebrate the blooming flowers and the resurrection of their God in the warm sunshine.
