About Red Bud, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Red Bud is a lovely, little historic town in Randolph County, Illinois. Located in the northwest part of the county, it is right on the border between Illinois and Missouri and is a great place for commuters who wish to live in a quiet atmosphere but work in St. Louis.  The quiet, down-home feel of this Midwestern town paired with friendly locals and a great deal of historic architecture make this town an ideal place to put down roots.  Seasonal weather means that kids can throw snowballs one month and then, just a few months later, run through the sprinklers.  There is just something magical about towns like this.

The town is approximately 7 miles west of the Kaskaskia River, home to a wildlife refuge, which is a great place for hiking, fishing and other warm weather activities.  A land area of about 16,000 acres is filled with a wide variety of habitats that make it a great place to see ALL kinds of wildlife. "Cascasquia" is an alternative French spelling that may be encountered in some literature, in addition some people may call it “Okaw River” but the river was actually given its name in honor a clan of natives that settlers met upon arrival and the river is generally known as “Kaskaskia.”  No matter what you call it, there could be no better way to spend a beautiful spring or summer day in this part of Illinois than to hike, boat and enjoy this little slice of wildlife heaven.

On a cold winter’s day, there is no better way to warm up from the inside out than with a delicious, hot home-cooked meal.  If you find yourself in Red Bud, in any season, and are looking for a little taste of home then Susie’s Restaurant is the place to go. It is a local favorite known for its homemade breads and outstanding fried chicken.  Though it may not be fancy, it is utterly delicious and a perfect example of a small “Mom and Pop” joint that is doing things just the right way.
